please please listen to me do not buy…

please please listen to me do not buy from these people they do not care at all about u or the purchase they act like its your problem. they say 30 day return when it takes 60 days to arrive. I said the f word on the phone and this woman sherry starting going off about how she will hang up of I use that language sorry but I waited 2 months for a 600 dollar lamp that came scratched up and now am stuck with. I wish I could do more to this company because I truly believe they should not be allowed to run a business.

Here is the email I just sent to 2 Modern's customer service department. They do not elicit feedback, by the way --they don't care about you. DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS SITE. RETURN PROCEDURE IS DEPLORABLE.

1. I have never been asked to provide tracking information on a return in 10+ years of frequent online shopping, much less with the threatening and aggressive tone of the email I received from you on June 17, attached below. (This was sent in response to an email I received from them demanding tracking information and telling me that the return would be rejected if I didn't supply tracking in the next 5 days.

2. The vast majority of online retailers in 2022 offer free shipping and returns. It cost me over $60 to return these items to you. I ordered two colors of the same product so that I could see which color worked best in my space, and kept the color that worked, which is a common practice. I could understand you charging for return shipping of furniture or some other bulky item, but these were bath mats.

3. The color I ended up returning was listed on your website as the same color, but on receipt they were absolutely not. One was solid grey and the other was heavily heathered, so I would have returned them anyway, as they are intended for the same bathroom.

4. For the above listed reasons I would not order from your site again.

It was bad enough to wait for two…

It was bad enough to wait for two months for my table but they can't help if manufacturing is slow. Then they shipped it a month ago and whenever I email to see where it is, the guy says call the shipper. I've spent 30 mins. on the phone and still can't find it. Plus I paid them. Shouldn't they be responsible for making sure the table gets to me? Don't buy here, even if you have to pay more elsewhere.

I should have come here to check reviews first. Placed an order for a wall shelf… they advertised it as in stock quick ship. Lies. They took my money and then sent me an email stating Delay in shipping due to supply chain. Then an email with a shipping confirmation with fed ex tracking number. The tracking number does not belong to my order. I contacted fed ex they confirmed what I saw on their tracking web page it is indeed a package from a completely different vendor going to a completely different person in Canada. I call them and always get their VM. I filed a dispute through pay pal to be refunded my money as this is not a good way to business.

Do not buy from them!!

Do not buy from them!! They have a terrible return policy where they charge you over $1000 for shipping (on an item that was $1400). They are not transparent that they charge so much for shipping.

So disappointed~order#126401

I ordered a floor lamp 09-16-21 and, of course,paid for it. The lamp was [advertised] backordered until 01-21-22, but that was OK and I agreed to that w/my order/payment. Three months later [12/03] I was informed there would be no lamp and my money would be refunded [funds have still not been refunded 12/07]. I am livid, but the worst part is they are still selling the lamp with a backorder date now of March 22. I won't be taking the chance of ruining another holiday with this company~I had such high hopes~too bad.

BUYERS BEWARE!

BUYERS BEWARE!
Ordered ornaments from this company.
IITTALA Glas Ornament 80mm - 5 pieces.
So, at least I thought …
I already have a bunch of them and wanted to add more. When I researched them a couple of weeks ago, all websites had them in 80mm size, this company offered the same price BUT as it turned out for the smaller size (40mm). The product (size) information is kind of hidden on their website and not obviously/clearly stated that this item is the smaller size ornament.
Just received them and called to have it returned. As it turns out, YOU have to pay for return shipping.
After the fact, silly me, I researched this company, and came across that this seems to be standard procedure for them. It’s “only” a $72 purchase plus shipping ($8 each item, ordered 2 = $16). Should have rang a bell right there.
In any event, STAY away from this company or be VERY CERTAIN that you want and “need” that product and only that firm offers it (doubtful!).
Feeling kind of getting “bait & switch” by them but it’s all in the FINE PRINT.
In todays environment, this is certainly not the best way to do business while the consumer relies on shipping more than ever before plus clear information should be provided to the consumer.
In my case, I will keep them and will use the ornaments or gift them.
I decided, I won’t bother to return and dealing with incompetent people from that firm. The phone call itself was very odd to begin with.
So, one more time >>> BUYER BEWARE or Caveat emptor, as we like to say in real estate!

This business is running a scam with…

This business is running a scam with their fine print return policy as many others noted. Wish we read the reviews and ordered from a reputable company. When we disputed return shipping charges of $300, their apparent manager Trish actually hung up on us after being extremely unprofessional and not helping fix the issue at hand, instead acting extremely defensive. When I originally spoke with her colleague she said their manager would call us back promising a 20% refund to the order for all the trouble we had and money spend on shipping, but the manager never did call us, I had to track her down, she simply sent us a link to their return policy. When I finally got Trish (the apparent manager) on the phone she stated that she made a mistake and could only give us store credit for the promised amount they owed us... We would never order from them again so the credit is worthless. Ive worked with countless managers in e-commerce and she was not trained nor had knowledge of managing a company. Her colleagues claimed she was the only one who worked with "escalated cases" so either that's untrue or they don't have adequate staff to run a company. Their office did not take our calls during business hours after I confronted the manager who hung up on us about her mistakes and our monetary loss. We lost $300 with them in return shipping fees and countless hours of my assistants and my time for a chandelier we never used or unboxed, and would stay very far away. They are a corrupt business, with employees (apparent manager) who are dishonest.
